Cameron Jeske—a student in our Natural Resource and Environmental Economics program—has received an Advanced Undergraduate Research Activity fellowship, a new summer program to promote advanced research and creative activities among UT undergraduate students. Fellowship recipients will also participate in the Summer Research Scholars Program, as well as present research findings at Discovery Day in the fall.

Under the mentorship of associate professor Chris Boyer, Jeske will analyze data to determine supply chain resiliency in the US pork industry. The findings will be used to develop early indicators for disruption in the US livestock supply chain system. While the research will focus on disruptions in the US pork industry, the measurements will be utilized for the individual meat industries, as well as the livestock industry.
