The department was honored to welcome Desiré Sigaudo to UT’s Institute of Agriculture on November 29, 2022. She gave a presentation titled, “South America: An insight into the region’s agribusiness and its decisive role in global markets in 2022.”
Sigaudo is an economist from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and an MBA candidate at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She’s currently completing her last MBA semester as an exchange student at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. She served as a senior market analyst at Rosario Board of Trade. She specialized in agricultural and related commodity markets. Her analyses and estimates have been published by Reuters and S&P Global Platts, among others.
